On May 13, 2025, B'Laofood Co., Ltd. had the honor of welcoming the leadership delegation from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lâm Đồng Province for a working visit and tour of the factory. The delegation, led by Mr. Hoàng Sỹ Bích – Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and accompanied by Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc – Deputy Director of the Department, representatives of specialized departments, and technical staff, aimed to evaluate the company's operations, inspect preparations for the 2025 durian export season, and understand the challenges to provide timely support.
The Leading Processing Enterprise – A Key Link in the Export Chain

The Department of Agriculture and Environment visits and works at B'Laofood Company
B’Laofood is currently the largest fruit packaging and processing facility in Lâm Đồng Province, with the capacity to receive and process hundreds of tons of raw materials daily. The main products include frozen mango, passion fruit, and durian for export to major markets such as China, the USA, and Europe. The company has achieved international certifications such as BRC A+, FDA, KOSHER, SEDEX, etc., reflecting its commitment to quality and social responsibility.
At the meeting, the company's leadership shared insights on preparing raw material regions, upgrading production lines, and working with farming areas to meet the stringent requirements of export markets.
Challenges in Regional Linkage – Strong Commitment from Farmers is Needed
One of the significant challenges today is maintaining stability in the relationship between businesses and farmers. In practice, when market prices fluctuate, many farmers prioritize selling outside rather than adhering to agreements with businesses. This causes difficulties for businesses in sourcing raw materials, especially during peak times for export. Furthermore, some households still do not strictly follow technical farming guidelines, resulting in uneven product quality, which affects marketability. This issue needs to be addressed seriously, with all parties coming together to unify and strengthen long-term linkages.

Mr. Nguyễn Đình Khương – Director of B’Laofood emphasized:
“We are eager to build a sustainable supply chain. Farmers must not only commit to output but also to quality, ensuring that products are free from pesticide residues. In this linkage, following correct technical procedures, especially regarding the use of fertilizers and pesticides as guided by businesses and experts, is mandatory. This not only ensures product quality but is a key factor in maintaining long-term, sustainable export markets for both farmers and businesses…”
Leadership Insights – Accompanying Enterprises to Remove Bottlenecks

The Department of Agriculture and Environment exchanges and shares solutions to overcome the challenges faced by the business
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoàng Sỹ Bích – Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lâm Đồng Province, acknowledged the company's efforts and emphasized B'Laofood’s leading role in the durian industry:
“B'Laofood is one of the key processing enterprises, pioneering in technology investment and regional linkage in Lâm Đồng Province. Durian export is not just a commercial matter; it requires close coordination between businesses, the government, and farmers. Farmers must understand that if they do not follow technical standards and allow pesticide residues, it will not only affect themselves but also cause damage to the entire industry.”
Mr. Bích affirmed that the Department would continue to connect B'Laofood with durian-growing districts, reputable cooperatives, to standardize technical processes, farming history, and product outputs.
“Businesses cannot go it alone. We will support them with technical expertise, policies, and, importantly, connecting all parties to build a sustainable supply chain, with export as the long-term goal.”
Echoing this, Mr. Nguyễn Hoàng Phúc – Deputy Director of the Department, shared:
“Through today's meeting, we clearly see B'Laofood’s proactive and open-minded spirit. However, building a successful durian export chain will not succeed without unity between production and consumption. Farmers need to shift from fragmented farming to planned, technical production. The Department will support businesses in communication, training, and connecting raw material regions in the near future.”

Connecting – Accompanying – Sustainable Development

On the part of B'Laofood, the company committed to continuing to invest in technology, expanding raw material areas, and closely coordinating with the Department to raise awareness and responsibility among farmers.
